Thankfully, the number of sudden infant deaths have fallen by 75% since the launch of an awareness campaign in the early 1990s. But 300 babies still die each year in the UK, suddenly and unexpectedly where no clear cause is found – known as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or (SIDS).
