A Friend is someone who isn’t a health visitor but who is interested in the work of health visitors, works with health visitors, works in public health or health promotion or who would just like to support the Institute of Health Visiting, a charity, to ensure that every child gets the best possible start in life.
Our vast suite of resources for members provide excellent evidence-based information for all professionals who work with children 0-5 years and families.
Those interested in joining might include:
- Nursery nurses
- School nurses
- Staff nurses
- Mental health nurses
- Paediatric nurses
- Children’s Centre workers
- General Practitioners
- Directors of Public Health
- Government Officials working with children and families or public health
The Institute is constantly working hard to improve and develop our benefits for members. Our fees are very modest as it’s more important to us to engage with as many health visitors and those interested in health visiting as possible. For only £6.50 per month/£78 per year, your Friend membership will enable you to demonstrate your commitment to health visiting, giving a competitive boost to your CV and career.
As a self-funding charity, we can only be successful in our mission to strengthen health visiting practice if the profession and its supporters join us on our journey. And we thank all our Friends for their continued support in helping the iHV to support health visitors to ensure that every child gets the best possible start in life.
