By providing key interventions at the earliest stage Guide Dogs strives to ensure that children with a visual impairment, including those with additional needs, achieve key developmental milestones. Supporting children and their families to achieve the outcomes that matter to them.

The charity Designability provide Wizzybugs free of charge to families across the UK on loan.

Wizzybug is a fun, innovative power chair designed specifically for children from 14 months to increase their independence, social participation and fun! It grows with the child and is suitable for indoor/outdoor and off-road use. Wizzybug is for children with good head control who have a condition that affects their mobility. Families can apply direct online by completing the application form on our website.

Action Cerebral Palsy is a registered charity working to improve public, professional and political awareness of the issues facing children and young people with cerebral palsy. Our aim is to ensure that every child and young person in the UK with cerebral palsy has access to the best possible intervention, care, education and support to meet their complex and changing needs. We have recently sponsored the first-ever All-Party Parliamentary Group on Cerebral Palsy and launched a public awareness campaign, entitled If In Doubt, Check It Out, about the early warning signs of cerebral palsy.

Playskill supports pre-school children with physical disabilities and delays in Hertfordshire to develop their communication, movement and key life skills. We do this through free therapeutic play sessions, alongside training, advice and support for families.

At our weekly specialist playgroups in Watford & Hemel Hempstead, we provide tailored physiotherapy, occupational and speech & language therapy.

Playskill also offers specialist training and one to one advice to support parents as they navigate health, education & financial services. Plus an all-important network of parents and carers, including social events.
