iHV Perinatal and Infant Mental Health (PIMH) Forums support the role of iHV PIMH Champions and strengthen the research base for their work.

The iHV achieves sustainability of the Champions movement through various means, one of which is the regional iHV PIMH Champions Forums. The Forums bring together iHV PIMH Champions twice per year regionally with an opportunity to attend a national annual Champions PIMH conference.

The Forums are modelled on the principles of place-based leadership, enabling alignment with regional strategic clinical networks (SCNs) to integrate and improve local care pathways and services. Each Forum has a research project aligned with it in order to contribute to the evidence base for PIMH.

iHV Champions have told us they value regular opportunities to meet, to network and share practice successes and challenges. By coming together at a local level, sharing best practice, learning with and from each other, we are confident that more families will get the right care and support for their mental health, when and where they need it.

For services to be universally improved, we believe that “big innovation” and excellence in practice has to be mainstream. The iHV PIMH Forums are an excellent opportunity to promote a culture of “can do” – making excellence and innovation mainstream!

To join the social movement and become an iHV Champion please see our current training opportunities.
