iHV Insights: Postnatal Contraception – the health visitor’s role

15th March 2022

Our highly popular iHV Insights webinar programme for iHV Members continues with our next event taking place on Thursday 24 March 3:30pm to 4:30 pm. This will cover the topic of Postnatal Contraception: the health visitor’s role.

Last year the iHV received funding from the Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Innovation fund to create resources for health visitors in supporting families with their sexual and reproductive health. Following feedback from this, we know that you wanted more information about postnatal contraception and, following further funding from Sexual and Reproductive Health, we have developed training for health visitors about postnatal contraception.

We are delighted to offer an Insights webinar for you on this topic with a focus on how to incorporate postnatal contraception into your practice. There will be insights from a parent and health visitors who have received the new training, as well as the iHV Team explaining bespoke health visitor resources to support your practice and training opportunities.

We are pleased to announce that our expert panel of speakers include:

  • Sussie Barber, Parent Speaker
  • Fay O’Brien, Student Health Visitor
  • Amy Balmer, Health Visitor
  • Vicky Gilroy and Victoria Jackson, Projects Team, iHV

We look forward to seeing you at the webinar and if you would like to know more about our sexual and reproductive work please access this section of our website.
