Exciting opportunity for health visitors – iHV Perinatal Mental Health Champions Training

30th March 2013

The Institute of Health Visiting have been commissioned by the Department of Health to provide free perinatal mental health training to health visitors in 10 venues across England.

New venues and dates now added – see below

Those attending the training, ideally more experienced health visitors and CPTs, will then have the opportunity of becoming local perinatal mental health champions.  You will be asked to disseminate the training to colleagues and to act as a local resource for perinatal mental health moving forward.

The iHV will continue to provide you with national support in this role for at least the following 12 months. The training will be led by Dr Jane Hanley an experienced health visitor academic and perinatal mental health trainer, and currently President of the International  Marcé Society, the body of academics working in this field, and supported by iHV specialists, so you are in expert hands.  This is a unique opportunity.
