What is a Fellow of the Institute of Health Visiting (FiHV)?
Fellows are health visitors with exceptional leadership qualities delivering excellence in practice. They are known as professionals who ‘push the boundaries’, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and have made a real difference to health visiting practice and the health outcomes of babies, children, families and communities. Whilst many are from clinical practice, some also come from research and education.
Following a pause in iHV Fellowships due to a lack of dedicated resources, we are hoping to reintroduce the programme in 2025 to mark the 10th anniversary since the first iHV Fellowships were conferred (look out for more details on our website in 2025).
Honorary Fellows
Each year the iHV Board of Trustees bestows one or more Honorary Fellowship awards. The awards are a mark of the highest esteem in recognition of an individual’s exceptional contributions to the Institute, the profession of health visiting and the families we serve.
