International membership was introduced for those living overseas who would like to have access to the latest evidence-based research, reports, briefings and other materials relevant to the work of the health visitor, as well as to help the Institute to raise international awareness of the important role of health visitors.
We also welcome the opportunity to network with colleagues who are interested in our work across the world. Whilst there are many differences in our structures, we are all striving to improve the health of the public.
We believe that many of our resources will have value beyond the UK, especially our Good Practice Points for Health Visitors, although all members also have access to our highly valued monthly e-newsletters, the iHV Times.
