Programme Aim
To equip safeguarding supervisors with research-based knowledge and practical skills to manage safeguarding supervision effectively across diverse fields of practice, ensuring a baby/child/young person/individual/family-focused approach.
Participants will become Safeguarding Supervision Champions, promoting authentic safeguarding supervision and acting as place-based leaders to raise awareness among peers and colleagues.
Programme Objectives
- Critical Reflection
- Explore participants’ own experiences of safeguarding supervision.
- Examine perceptions of what constitutes an effective safeguarding supervision process.
- Knowledge Enhancement
- Deepen understanding of safeguarding supervision principles.
- Learn about models and frameworks used to engage supervisees effectively.
- Person-centred Practice
- Embed a person-centred focus in supervision.
- Engage in reflective processes to assess supervision delivery and its impact on practice.
- Evidence-based Implementation
- Equip participants to deliver, evaluate, and promote an authentic, structured model of safeguarding supervision.
- Ensure the model is evidence-based and supports all stakeholders (supervisor, supervisee, baby/child/family/individual).
