Having worked in marketing and communication roles in the private and public sectors, Kate qualified as an adult nurse in 2014 and as a Health Visitor in 2017, working in Tower Hamlets as a health visitor and team lead, as well as undertaking a secondment to Public Health England as a Covid Response Practitioner to gain an understanding of the wider public health field.
In 2022, Kate moved to Southend City Council as Professional Lead for the 0-19 service. This involves working across public health including leading health improvement practitioner specialists involved in healthy lifestyles programmes across the age groups.
