Rewarding and interesting opportunity with the Institute of Health Visiting

The Institute of Health Visiting is currently looking for a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees to help guide us on financial matters. This is an exciting time to join our charity and make a lasting impact to our work. Join a well-established and supportive Board of Trustees who all bring a wealth of experience and knowledge across many different sectors including health & social care and commercial experience in marketing, communications and public affairs.

We’re looking for an Honorary Treasurer with an understanding of charity sector finance and governance, to ensure the robust management of our financial operations and risk management as we grow. This is an interesting opportunity for someone with finance experience in the private, non-profit or public sector, and to join a Trustee Board that is passionate about supporting the work of the Institute to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities for babies, young children and families through a strengthened health visiting service.

The role of Treasurer is to help oversee the financial work of our Charity, and not to be involved in the day to day running of the iHV’s finances – full details of the role are set out in the job description.

We want to represent all the communities we serve. Appointment will be made solely on merit. However, the iHV is fully committed to increasing the diversity of our Board and we are particularly keen to receive applications from people from all sections of the community, including people from minoritised ethnic groups or people with other protected characteristics.

Applications close: 9am, 15 March 2022.  Successful applicants will be informed as soon as possible after that.
