Dr. T. Berry Brazelton, one of the world’s most well-known pediatricians and child development experts whose work helped explain what makes kids tick, has died. He was 99.
Dr Cheryll Adams CBE, executive director iHV, said:
“Sad to hear of Dr Brazelton’s death but what an extraordinary long life he had, and what a huge contribution he made to our understanding of what enhances the development of infants. His name will live on.”
Dr Brazelton was an American pediatrician, author, and the developer of the Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale (NBAS). Brazelton hosted the cable television program What Every Baby Knows, and wrote a syndicated newspaper column. He wrote more than two hundred scholarly papers and twenty-four books.
