21st August 2016
This ninth meeting will be held at Sheffield Hallam University (Collegiate Crescent Campus) where we welcome new and experienced researchers with an interest in child and family health. Our goal is to see the growth in new research relationships that can strengthen research practice in health visiting and child health nursing.
We are privileged to be joined by Dr Julian Grant, Associate Professor Child and Family Health Nursing, Flinders University, Adelaide, South Australia where she completes research work with vulnerable children and families to improve their health outcomes. Julian also works across Australia to improve the capacity of the inter-professional health workforce. Julian will share her research experiences concerning Child and Family Health Nursing and working with indigenous communities where voices are seldom heard.
We will also be joined by Louise Wolstenholme speaking on her experience in growing research capacity within practice. If you are able to stay in the afternoon Sue Peckover and Karen Whittaker will facilitate a short workshop on ‘facilitating research’. We look forward to seeing you.
