We are proud to announce that the iHV has been re-elected to the First 1001 Days Steering Group.
The First 1001 Days (F1001D) Movement has elected its new steering group, following a competitive election by its members. In line with the Movement’s terms of reference, the steering group comprises 12 organisational members and 3 individual supporters.
The iHV is delighted that Georgina Mayes, iHV Health Visiting Professional Lead (Quality and Policy), has been elected to represent our organisation, alongside 11 other organisational members and 3 individual supporters.

Georgina Mayes, iHV Health Visiting Professional Lead (Quality and Policy) said:
“I’m delighted and truly honoured to have been elected to the F1001 Days Movement Steering Group. It’s a privilege that I take very seriously. I’m really looking forward to working with the Steering Group to deliver on our key goals. But above all, I’m passionate about supporting work that helps ensure every baby gets the best possible start in life.”
Georgina will work with the Steering Group members to:
- Assist in prioritising and planning the F1001D Movement’s key activities, such as campaigns and events.
- Work with the Secretariat to develop and agree on annual plans for the Movement, in consultation with the wider membership.
- Ensure that the Movement is progressing the goals set out in the Consensus Statement and focus attention and resource on particular issues to achieve maximum traction.
- Ensure the Movement is seizing opportunities and representing the views of its members effectively.
- Contribute to proactive and reactive policy positions and sign-off key statements.
