Health Visitor

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Health Visitor (band 6) to join their team at Public Health.

Grade: – Band 6 – £46,152 – £62,310 per annum
Full Time

This will provide an exciting opportunity for the postholder to have overall management of a defined caseload, and the provision of a full range of health visiting services to those families, including Universal, MECSH and safeguarding work. In addition, there is also the opportunity to deliver community-based group activities.

Reflective supervision is encouraged for all aspects, clinical, safeguarding and MECSH. Opportunity for professional development is readily available. This is a small but supportive skill mixed team who work hard to promote the health and development of the pre-school children on our Islands.

This role comes with a competitive salary, an annual bonus, progressive annual leave, and entitlement to a pension scheme. We will also consider previous service in a substantive post in the NHS towards your entitlement to annual leave, maternity leave and sick pay.

For candidates who would be required to relocate to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, we also offer a relocation package to help with the cost of moving over to the Island. This relocation package offers different solutions depending on an individual’s circumstances.

This role offers off-Island candidates an 8-year Long Term Employment Permit (see details below). This permit will also enable candidates to bring immediate family members with them who will be permitted to work on the Island in any sector. There are also good schools on the Island for those candidates looking to bring their families with them.

Single subsidised accommodation is available for candidates relocating to the Island.
