What does it take to flourish in the health visitor workplace? Actions to support well-being, growth and learning.
At the upcoming Practice Education Network (PEN) event we will be examining workplace flourishing. Following a short presentation, the networking group will explore what can make a difference to staff and student well-being, growth and sense of enjoyment in their professional roles. The aim being to identify local actions that can be taken to support flourishing and thereby invest in health visitor growth and learning.
This session specifically links to NMC Standards of proficiency for SCPHN. Namely sphere of influence E: Advancing public health services and promoting healthy places, environments and cultures. It links directly to the following proficiency statements.
E.1 critically appraise and apply strategies and initiatives that improve home, community and workplace cultures and environments to enhance the health and wellbeing of people and communities in the places they live, learn and work
E.5 lead and support a culture of learning and continuous professional development for colleagues, and with interdisciplinary and interagency teams
E.7 promote and lead effective public health workplace cultures that benefit people, communities and populations
