Exciting and unique development opportunity with the Institute of Health Visiting

iHV Professional Development Officer, Learning & Development department

The iHV is recruiting! Are you looking for a new opportunity in 2025?

Are you:

  • An experienced health visitor with experience of teaching in health visiting and 0-5 public health practice?
  • An excellent communicator, motivated to deliver high-quality training events across multi-agency groups to improve practice and professional development?
  • An energetic team member, a confident self-starter who is able to work remotely across a range of activity each week?

If yes, then come join us!

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Institute of Health Visiting, the leading Centre of Excellence for health visiting, as the new Professional Development Officer to support the future delivery of the iHV’s highly rated training programmes and learning resources. Provision of national training is an important function of the work undertaken by the Institute. We have a reputation for delivery of perinatal and infant mental health programmes, however our portfolio is much broader and includes other key areas of learning which we are seeking support to deliver. Our current training portfolio is here and is continually evolving.

This is a brand-new position at the iHV. This post will work closely with the iHV Professional Education, Learning & Development Lead, the Learning & Development team, and across the Institute of Health Visiting to support our delivery of sustainable and high-quality continuing professional development for the workforce. The successful applicant will be highly respected by colleagues for their capacity to deliver professional development and will have a track record of teaching learning programmes.
