South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is the first NHS organisation to join all 114 of their health visitors to the Institute of Health Visiting corporate scheme.
Jane Williams, Head of Children, Young People and Family Services, South Warwickshire said:
“We are delighted to be the first corporate member for the Institute of Health Visiting. We see it as an important vehicle in helping health visitors (HVs) to be supported in their implementation of our HV Implementation Plan. It will enable them to have access to the very best up to date information about health visiting practice and also have access to research and training. It is an exciting time to be a health visitor and it is great that we now have this fantastic resource at our fingertips.”
Dr Cheryll Adams, Director of the iHV said:
‘We are thrilled to welcome South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust as our first corporate joiners.
They are a very progressive organisation which can understand the value of a national organisation such as the iHV providing up to date evidence based information to inform the practice of their health visitors’.
The iHV is developing fast and has been thrilled by the reception it is receiving from health visitors and those with an interest in health visiting.
As a charity it is very helpful to have the boost from corporate membership as this will allow us to progress so much faster. In return those joining us are telling us how helpful they are finding our facilities, especially our monthly newsletters with up to date research and other information.
We hope over time to have a significant impact on the quality of services health visitors deliver to children, families and communities.
