iHV wants to promote raising standard in health visiting practice through completion of a series of the e-Learning for Health (e-LfH) online modules.
These underpin health visitors’ requirements to deliver the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) by providing online CPD modules focusing on health and wellbeing. The programme development was led by the RCPCH supported by DH, but many of the modules were written by health visitors.
The e-LfH HCP modules are FREE and easy to access using your NMC Pin number to register through the e-LfH website and soon via our website . You simply follow the instructions and tick the box when prompted to access the HCP modules.
There are 76 sessions available over 12 modules.
To make it easier for you, the iHV has conducted thorough research and recommends completing, in this first instance, these 7 modules as a core learning package for every health visitor:
- Intro to HCP
- Community
- Family Health
- Positive Parenting
- Development and Nutrition
- Speech & Language
- Growth & Nutrition
We also recommend choosing an additional 2 modules from this list below:
- Perinatal Mental Health
- Communication
- Record Keeping
- Safeguarding
- Inter professional Working
