Sexual and Reproductive Health – Funded by PHE Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Innovation Fund
The aim of the project was to develop new resources in a range of formats, using co-production methods to ensure accessibility, increased knowledge, awareness and understanding of sexual and reproductive health within health visiting.
The project had a number of core deliverables:
- Scoping of current evidence base about sexual and reproductive health
- Development and dissemination of a national survey to health visitors to determine current understanding, knowledge, confidence and training needs about sexual and reproductive health
- Development and dissemination of a national survey to understand the views of parents/carers and to support the development of resources
- Gather insights from parents/carers, as well as health visitors, through focus groups
- Insight report
- Development of a range of resources through co-production, accessible to health visitors and families via the iHV website
