Healthy Weight, Health Nutrition (Phase 1 and 2) – Funded by The Aim Foundation
The AIM Foundation awarded iHV funding to deliver a year-long project to refresh the Healthy Weight, Healthy Nutrition (HWHN) training. The aim of the project was to support the delivery of consistent, evidence-based nutritional advice to families with babies and young children across the UK.
The project had a number of core deliverables:
- Stage 1 – Survey of the previous HWHN Champions – as the original training was over three years old, it was important to ensure the database of current Champions was up to date and to establish their requirements for information and resources
- Stage 2 – Redevelopment of the resource – working with field expert Dr Helen Crawley, Director of First Steps Nutrition Trust, a full rewrite and update of the iHV Champion cascade resources was completed by creating six new 2-hour modules, covering all aspects of HWHN from preconception to school entry
- Stage 3 – Creation of a HWHN, physical activity and oral health Digital Toolkit, and delivery of HWHN Champion update events – four sessions were delivered across the UK, updating knowledge and launching the new resources
- Stage 4 – Evaluation of the update events – pre and post-evaluation surveys completed by attendees
This training can also be delivered in a bespoke format to your area/service across the UK. Please contact [email protected] to find out more about having this training in your area.
