Sue is a Chartered Management Accountant and worked for many years in the public sector. Until 2016, she was Director of Finance and Resources at the Human Tissue Authority and the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority.
Since moving into non-executive roles, Sue has become a Trustee of Breast Cancer Now, the largest breast cancer research charity, and a Council and audit committee member of the Health and Care Professions Council, the body which regulates 16 healthcare professions in order to protect the public and uphold standards. Sue also works with the General Osteopathic Council, investigating complaints against osteopaths, and with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, as a member of conduct committees.
Sue takes an interest in her local community and has been a school governor, a trustee of her local theatre and helped several groups improving the town and life for residents.
With experience of of working with a wide range of health professionals, Sue believes in the difference they make and brings her skills, particularly financial expertise, to help ensure the success of the Institute of Health Visiting.
