At the iHV, we are involved as partners and consultants on a number of research projects with leading academics across a range of topic areas spanning child and family health, the early years and service design. We also lead a number of our own research studies and projects, acting as principle investigators and programme managers. Our research and projects support our mission to improve child and family health and reduce health inequalities through a strengthened health visiting service. Our work aims to generate new evidence and also translate this into practice – we use it to improve the scope of our training and resources which are created specifically for health visitors, and to support their work with families across a range of important public health priority areas. All iHV projects aim to gain a better understanding of the current needs and views of health visitors and families across the UK, with co-production methods embedded throughout.
