This e-learning programme has been developed by Institute of Health Visiting experts in partnership with Her Majesty’s Government and the support of other partner organisations, especially the Salvation Army and child protection charity, Afruca.
Domestic Slavery is a challenging and sensitive topic – there are links to sources of help and support at the end of the module. The module builds on the safeguarding knowledge you have already, and encourages reflection on current practice and the opportunities presented through home visiting.
Please note these e-learning modules are designed for health visitors. They are designed to build on the partnership working models of working with families that you use in practice (e.g. HENRY, Solihull, Family Partnership Model) whilst refreshing and updating your nutritional knowledge evidence base for practice.
Other members utilising the resources must do so within their own sphere of practice and within the jurisdiction of their employer’s vicarious liability. The Institute is not responsible for the application of these resources in practice.
