This module is the second of two modules developed with Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) and iHV Fellow Amanda Whelan.
They are designed especially for health visitors, and are underpinned by research, policy and practice guidance for reducing unintentional injuries to children under the age of 5 in and around the home, as well as existing NICE guidelines on this topic.
Each module will take about 45 minutes.
Please note these e-learning modules are designed for health visitors who have already undertaken many years of education and training in nursing and/or midwifery as well as health visiting. They are designed to build on the theoretical underpinning that you use in practice, whilst refreshing and updating your practice.
Other members utilising the resources must do so within their own sphere of practice and within the jurisdiction of their employer’s vicarious liability. The Institute is not responsible for the application of these resources in practice.
